Welcome to Distinctive Dog. Your source for gourmet dog treats, dog bakery items and more. The idea to create a source for healthy, natural dog treats really happened by accident.

After spending a great deal of time and money to add Roxie to our family I discovered that it was very difficult to select from the many commercial dog food and treat brands available. Many of these foods claimed to be healthy or wholesome only to learn they were processed using refined waste products, preservatives and low quality ingredients.

Searching online I found some products that appeared to be healthy, but they were offered alongside other non-healthy brands. It took a great deal of time to sort through information to make an educated decision about our pet’s diet. As we began training classes, dog treats became an increasingly important part of our dog’s life. They created incentives and provided variety to her diet.

As with dog food, many commercial dog treats were high in fat and contained unhealthy ingredients including, wheat gluten, corn and soy. So, in 2007 I created Distinctive Dog to provide dog treats and dog bakery items free from harmful ingredients. I also wanted to provide information to help consumers make better decisions for their pets. Our customer promise is to provide customers with only healthy dog products and to provide information on these products so you can make better decisions about your pet’s health.
